Key Responsibilities:

  • JIRA Administration: Configure, manage, and maintain JIRA projects, workflows, permissions, issue types, and custom fields.
  • User & Access Management: Manage user roles, groups, and permissions to ensure security and compliance.
  • Customization & Automation: Develop custom workflows, automation rules, and scripts (using JIRA automation, JQL, and Groovy) to enhance efficiency.
  • Integrations: Connect JIRA with Confluence, Bitbucket, Slack, ServiceNow, and other third-party tools for seamless operations.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize JIRA for scalability.
  • Support & Training: Provide technical support to users, create documentation, and conduct training sessions.
  • Upgrades & Maintenance: Plan and implement JIRA upgrades, plugins, and security patches.
  • Reporting & Dashboards: Create custom reports, dashboards, and filters to track project metrics and KPIs.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure JIRA usage aligns with organizational policies and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of JIRA administration experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of JIRA Core, JIRA Software, and JIRA Service Management.
    • Proficiency in JQL (JIRA Query Language) for advanced searches and reporting.
    • Experience with JIRA automation, Groovy scripting, and REST APIs.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and CI/CD tools.
    • Knowledge of database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL) is a plus.
    • Experience with Confluence, Bitbucket, and other Atlassian products
