Key Responsibilities:
Jira Administration:
Maintain and manage Jira projects, boards, workflows, screens, custom fields, permissions, and automation rules.
Ensure accurate configuration and consistent use of Jira for capturing stories, bugs, epics, and tasks related to the provider enrollment product.
Progress Tracking & Reporting:
Create, customize, and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor detailed product development progress (e.g., sprint burndown, velocity, throughput, defect aging, story completion).
Analyze Jira data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and delivery risks.
Provide reports and dashboards along with related Jira training to managers.
Defect & Requirements Management:
Monitor and report on defect status and aging to ensure timely resolution.
Confirm defects trace to requirements
Confirm Jira is being used for all requirements and defect tracking
Support requirements traceability and ensure alignment between stories, epics, and larger product objectives.
Assignments & Workflow Oversight:
Ensure proper assignment of tasks and adherence to defined workflows.
Validate that work items are being properly updated and transitioned throughout their lifecycle.
Risk and Issue Identification:
Proactively monitor Jira data to identify anomalies or indicators of project risk (e.g., delays, scope creep, resource issues).
Provide insights and escalate risks as needed to project and product leadership.
Process Improvement:
Evaluate the current Jira setup and usage patterns.
Propose and implement improvements in Jira configuration, workflows, and reporting to enhance team productivity and transparency.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator, preferably in a software development environment.
Strong knowledge of Jira administration, including advanced reporting (JQL, dashboard gadgets, filters).
Experience working with cross-functional teams on enterprise software products, ideally in healthcare or provider enrollment domains.
Proven ability to translate business and product needs into Jira configurations and reports.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret Jira data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Excellent communication skills; able to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with related Atlassian tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira Service Management) a plus.
Agile/Scrum methodology knowledge and experience strongly preferred.
Familiarity with provider lifecycle or healthcare software domain.
