Job Description:

  • A Jira Admin is responsible for managing, implementing, and maintaining the Jira software within a company's IT infrastructure. They are in charge of creating, managing, and customizing Jira projects, workflows, security schemes, custom fields, dashboards and reports. They are also responsible for providing user management, training, and support to all Jira users. They work closely with different teams to understand their requirements and ensure the software is tailored to meet their needs.

 

Required Skills:

  • Proficient knowledge of Atlassian Jira software and its functionalities.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies
  • Experience in Jira system administration, workflows, issue types, and screens.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug and understand technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of SQL and databases is beneficial.
  • Experience with other Atlassian tools like Confluence, Bitbucket can be advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) is beneficial
