You Are:

UST is searching for a Java/Python Developer with AWS experience who will develop, refactor, and enhance microservices using Java or Python, emphasizing clean design, testability, and performance.

 

The opportunity:

·       Collaborate with risk, quant, and engineering stakeholders to modernize legacy risk applications (credit & liquidity risk) into cloud-native architectures on AWS.

·       Implement Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for automated, repeatable deployments to AWS.

·       Build robust CI/CD pipelines, deploy services, monitor performance, and ensure operational reliability.

·       Deliver risk metrics, analytics, and tooling that empower senior management, risk officers, and regulators

·       Embrace agile and test-driven development practices to deliver high-quality software iteratively and iteratively improve system architecture over time

What you need:

·       Bachelor’s Degree or similar experience, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics or Communication

·       Professional software development experience, ideally in financial services or risk-focused domains.

·       Strong programming expertise and proficiency in designing, developing and testing software in Java or Python

·       Proficiency in designing, developing and testing enterprise level software applications with a focus on RESTful APIs.

·       Hands-on experience building or migrating applications into AWS, including microservices, serverless, or containerized components.

·       Familiarity with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud deployment best practices

·       Experience with public cloud environments (AWS Certified Developer or equivalent)

·       Background in Financial Services or Risk (credit, liquidity, market), data workflows, or analytics is a plus, but not required
