Java with Scala

Requirements:

At least 5 years of heavy, hands-on, software development in a 3rd-gen language (Scala, Java, Python, etc.)

Strong and successful track record of solving hard problems and out of the box thinking

Flexible, self-sufficient and learn business, data and technology stack with minimal supervision

Strong problem-solving and communication skills and enjoys a collaborative environment

Fast-learner – willing and able to quickly learn new technologies and skills

Test driven methodologies, working in automation of unit and regression tests, CI/CD

Capable of basic data analysis and requirements gathering

Experience in working with Agile development environment

Desired skills:

5-8 years of working experience

Exposure to Apache HIVE, SPARK, etc.

Working experience with REST based webservices

Hands-on experience with RDF or Scala

Experience with functional programming

Experience with graph technologies

Familiarity with Semantic Web (RDF) and Sparql

Experience with distributed computing

Familiarity with Zookeeper/Storm/Spark/HDFS

Experience with Selenium, Cucumber

Experience with enhancing and maintaining mission-critical software in a fast-paced environment
