Solution Architect / Technical Lead – Cloud Streaming & Integration (AWS, AZURE)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Solution Architect / Tech Lead to drive the design and delivery of cloud-based, distributed streaming systems. This role involves defining architecture, mentoring developers, and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of mission-critical services across American Airlines’ AWS and Azure ecosystems.

Responsibilities:

Define and oversee architecture for real-time streaming and microservices-based systems.

Design technical integration patterns using MSK, Kinesis, Flink, and Lambda.

Provide hands-on leadership in cloud-based solution delivery with Java/Spring Boot and event-driven design.

Author Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.

Set up and manage observability across environments using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and X-Ray.

Implement robust CI/CD practices and testing automation strategies.

Mentor and guide development teams to follow architectural best practices.

Ensure secure, scalable, and compliant design aligned with enterprise standards.

Required Technical Skills:

Strong experience with AWS services: Kinesis, MSK (Kafka), Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, X-Ray

Java, Spring Boot, REST/gRPC, Microservices Architecture

Stream Processing: Apache Flink, Avro, Protobuf

IaC: Terraform

Monitoring/Observability: Dynatrace, CloudWatch, X-Ray

CI/CD, Security, Compliance in Cloud Environments

Scripting: Bash, Python, Go

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or Technical Lead

Proven record of delivering cloud-native, distributed systems

B.S. in Computer Science or related field

Advanced technical expertise across network, security, and cloud infrastructure domains

Excellent analytical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

Comfortable leading hybrid onshore-offshore delivery teams
