Java Software Engineer

Responsibilities:
•    Develop and maintain critical trading infrastructure systems.
•    Maintain low latency, distributed message protocols and fault tolerant architecture.
•    Develop and maintain trade matching and market data applications.
•    Develop solutions according to design specifications that are thorough, accurate, and conform to development standards.
•    Independently researches and resolves complex technical problems.
•    Self-manages assigned projects to ensure successful completion in designated time frames.
•    Participates in production support coverage rotation as scheduled.
•    Provides support and maintenance for applications.
 
Must Have Skills:
•    Hands on experience developing low latency Java applications.
•    Expert Java, deep understanding of Java internals (Memory management, threading, etc.).
•    Experience translating business requirements into technical details.
•    Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on both a business and technical level.
•    Source control management.
•    Exchange industry experience (FIX a big plus)
