Responsibilities

  • Stay on top of technology trends and suggest ways to pragmatically leverage them.
  • Get to know how our business operates and be willing to work directly with business partners to help steer them to the best technical solutions.
  • Recommend/develop standards and processes.
  • Be adaptable and organized in a fast-paced environment with changing demands and priorities.
  • Estimate work effectively and meet deadlines.

Required Skills

  • Solid understanding of Functional programming and OO concepts.
  • Expertise in database development using SQL and ORM frameworks.
  • Analytical skills and the ability to assess risk.
  • A Test-Driven approach to development and a comfortable with automated testing.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Required Experience

  • 3+ years web app development experience (HTML expected).
  • 1+ years building REST APIs (Node.js a plus).
  • Experience building performant and scalable websites and APIs.
  • Experience using GIT version control.
  • Experience supporting systems in a production environment.
  • Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field
