Java Developer

The candidate will join a team of engineers who are responsible for the Implementation, Migration and Maintenance of the File Gateway infrastructures (including Sterling Integrator and B2B). As well as the on boarding or modifying customer transfers for various Global Businesses and Functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain real-time electronic trading systems for Fixed Income products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to onboard or modify customer transfers and optimize system performance.
• Work on Java/Scala server-side development, focusing on high performance and low latency systems.
• Contribute to the architecture and design of scalable, reusable, and maintainable systems in mission-critical environments.
• Assist with migration efforts and ensure the successful maintenance of the File Gateway infrastructures.

Required Qualifications:

• 4-10 years of experience in Java/Scala server-side development.
• Strong understanding and experience in multi-threaded development.
• Experience designing and implementing high-performance, low-latency systems.
• Proven ability to develop reusable and maintainable object-oriented or functional programming designs.
• Experience in Fixed Income application development and real-time electronic trading applications.
• Hands-on experience in implementing global, distributed systems in mission-critical/trading environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with web-based (HTML5) front-end technologies.
• Experience with BDD/TDD.
• Knowledge of middleware systems such as ION, Solace, or RMDS, along with related Java APIs.
