Responsibilities

  • Provide services and apps that enable workforce management simpler and more effective.
  • Work on Future Workforce Platform team primarily focusing on backend RESTful APIs and data pipelines.
  • Enhance and maintain complex browser rendered applications.
  • Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects.
  • Support and ensure business objectives being met.
  • Lead the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design.
  • Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Utilize industry research to improve Wal-Mart’s technology environment.

Required Skills

  • Expert knowledge in Object oriented programming and Design Patterns.
  • Strong commercial use of Python.
  • Strong communication skills with a track record of working and collaborating with global teams.
  • A good understanding of MySQL.
  • Learn new things and pick the right tools and frameworks for the job.

Required Experience

  • Experience in a similar role like Backend Developer, Python Developer, Backend Engineer, Python Engineer.
  • Experience building large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures.
  • Experience building highly scalable and available applications using Java and Spring Framework.
  • Experience working with Unit Testing and Mocking Frameworks.
  • Experience building fast and responsive web applications.
  • Experience in Agile Methodology.
  • Core Java, Collections Framework, Concurrent Programming, Experience with spring framework, multi-threading, Testing frameworks including Junit.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
