Summary

eClerx is looking for a skilled Java and Python developer who is proficient in relational database platforms in a UNIX environment. The candidate should have all the necessary skills of a developer such as technical specification writing, version control, unit testing and agile methodologies.

Your primary function will be to investigate and drive support resolution with senior external clients, internal stake holders and other engineering teams. You will serve as point of escalation for support issues from the help desk. The candidate must also have demonstrable experience working with, supporting and programming investment Portfolio Analytics tools. This includes a good understanding of concepts such as: attribution, risk, benchmarking and portfolio performance analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Support role diagnosing and fixing coding issues within defined SLAs
  • Extract diagnosis information from UNIX logs – must be comfortable with UNIX navigation and shell scripting
  • Execute on support issues while also building out the function and automating resolution of repeat issues
  • Work closely with the engineering team to drive resolution of client issues
  • Influence and suggest improvements on the roadmap to enhance client experience, focusing on portfolio analytics
  • Create documentation, runbooks and code snippets to share with clients and internal engineering teams

Eligibility Requirements

  • Overall minimum 8 years’ technology experience
  • Working knowledge of portfolio analytics and reporting (minimum 3 years)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python and Java coding
  • 4+ years working in a UNIX environment
  • 3+ years in a support role
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels within technical and business organizations
  • Must be comfortable coding in Java, Python, debugging API calls, writing quality-of-life snippets for clients, creating scripts for debug tooling
  • Must have a basic knowledge of UI and API integration
  • This role requires 5 days working onsite
