We are seeking a Junior IT Operations Engineer to support our Batch Operations team within Service Operations (GIPS). The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in batch job monitoringincident handling, and system health checks across diverse platforms. This role demands hands-on expertise with Control-M and Remedy, along with working knowledge of WindowsUnixAS400, and Mainframe environments. The role involves shift-based work to ensure 24x7 operational coverage.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Monitor and manage batch job execution using Control-M job scheduler.

·         Handle incidents through the Remedy ITSM platform and ensure timely resolution.

·         Escalate issues to the relevant support teams in case of job failures or system malfunctions.

·         Conduct routine system health checks across Windows, Unix, AS400, and Mainframe platforms.

·         Ensure SLA compliance by tracking job completion and addressing delays or failures promptly.

·         Maintain operational logs, update documentation, and adhere to compliance and audit requirements.

·         Support shift operations, including night and weekend coverage, as part of a 24x7 support team.

 

Mandatory Skills:

·         Control-M job scheduling – hands-on operational experience.

·         Proficiency with Remedy or similar incident/ticketing tools.

·         Basic operational understanding of WindowsUnixAS400, and Mainframe platforms.

·         Strong incident handling and troubleshooting skills.

 

Good-to-Have Skills:

·         Exposure to batch processing in banking or financial environments.

·         Understanding of ITIL framework, particularly Incident and Problem Management.

·         Experience working in mission-critical 24x7 environments.
