Description

We are hiring for IT Desktop & Infra Engineer for our client in HK office.

Responsibilities

Desktop (80%)

  • Provide first and second level support (managing and resolving end-user requests) for computers, IT/AV and mobile device issues
  • Escalate complex problems to the appropriate 3rd level support team and collaborate until problems resolution
  • Organize new staff onboarding and offboarding in collaboration with HR
  • Configure, deploy and support IT hardware, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, IT/AV peripherals, and network equipment (IP Phones, etc.) in a LAN environments
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot software packages, including operating systems, desktop software and custom applications
  • Coordinate upgrades and new deployment projects with HQ Desktop team
  • Schedule and monitor security patches deployment
  • Organize workstations and IP Phones move when needed
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors and 3rd party suppliers to resolve technical issues
  • Deal with suppliers and external providers (purchasing of new IT equipment, new equipment test, etc.) 
  • Create and maintain end user procedures and technical documents
  • Maintain accurate inventories of software and hardware assets
  • Use a ticketing system to track and maintain high level of service and support locally and across Asia
  • Decommission / Dispose IT equipment when necessary
  • Contribute to continual improvement initiatives and project work



 

Infrastructure (20%)

  • Conduct system health checks, generate health check reports, analyze system performance and make recommendations
  • Manage backup platform and other business as usual Infrastructure related support
  • Manage projects related to IT infrastructure upgrades and expansions
  • Administer Cisco and MS Teams VoIP environment
  • Tuning, hardware upgrades and resource optimization, perform system changes and upgrades 
  • Ensure hardware and software compliance with established standards, policies and configuration guidelines
  • Work with IT staff in other locations on regional projects
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, configuration procedures and best practices 



 

Experience:



 

  • At least 3 years’ experience in Windows (Client / Server) experience
  • Strong user desktop support capabilities, including VIP users support
  • Capability to provide management updates on activity in a proactive manner
  • Microsoft Windows 11
  • Microsoft Office software products

Technical skills plus:

  • Experience with automation like RPA or admin scripting languages
  • Office communication platforms such as MS Teams and Cisco Telephony
  • VMWare, Windows Servers experience would be a plus

Personal skills required:

  • Proactive in delivering the best user experience
  • Good English communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Good verbal Chinese & Cantonese communication skills, reading would be an advantage
