Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ODI interfaces, packages, and load plans for large-scale data integration solutions.
- Build and manage complex file topologies in ODI to handle multi-format structured/unstructured data integrations.
- Customize and support Oracle BI Applications (OBIA) load plans, mappings, and workflows.
- Translate complex business requirements into efficient, scalable ETL/ELT logic using ODI.
- Develop PL/SQL scripts and use Oracle SQL for data transformation, validation, and enrichment.
- Create reusable mappings and scenarios aligned with best practices and performance standards.
- Automate batch jobs and scheduling using Unix shell scripting and integrate ODI processes with Autosys.
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Monitor daily job executions, perform root cause analysis of failures, and implement corrective actions.
- Document solution designs, technical specifications, and support procedures for long-term maintainability.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and integration standards.
- Mentor junior team members and perform peer code reviews.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c.
- Strong expertise in developing complex file topologies (delimited, fixed-width, hierarchical).
- Experience with Oracle BI Applications (OBIA), including customization of load plans and data mappings.
- Proficient in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Hands-on Unix/Linux shell scripting experience.
- Deep understanding of ELT/ETL best practices, data warehousing concepts, and performance tuning.
- Experience with job scheduling tools and integration with ODI batch jobs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to OBIEE, Oracle Cloud, or other reporting/analytics tools.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
