Infrastructure Vulnerability Engineer

Job Description:

 

1. Strong Communication Skills
   • Role requires collaboration with software engineers, technical managers, project managers, and security teams
   • Must demonstrate skill in describing and defending highly technical concepts and ideas
   • Must demonstrate competence and technical knowledge in the required technical areas
2. Strong Linux Experience
   • Must have 6+ years of Linux experience
   • Must demonstrate understanding of Linux tools, internals, networking, configuration, etc.
   • We are not looking for someone who has simply added/removed users, configured permissions, etc.
   • Bonus is someone with Linux security knowledge/experience
3. Working in a Medium-Large Production Environment
   • Must have worked in an environment >1000 hosts
   • Strong understanding of production processes, policies, standards
4. Infrastructure Experience
   • Virtualization (VMware, KVM, Nutanix, Openstack, Proxmox, etc.)
   • Networking, DNS, routing/switching, load balancers, firewalls
   • Monitoring systems (any)
   • Docker/containers, some Kubernetes
   • Some cloud understanding/experience (AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.)
5. Strong Problem Solving Skills
