Description

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Scheduling & implementing patching and deployment of new and end-of-life systems in a 24/7 production environment with minimal impact (e.g., network switches, servers, SCADA servers).
    • Monitor emails and logs, backups, network gear, and vulnerability scans.
    • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
    • Provide technical support for Infrastructure hardware and software.
    • Participate in an on-call roster.

 

Desired Skills: 

  • Certificate in IV in Information Technology.
  • Good Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016 and above knowledge & experience
  • Good Microsoft Office / O365 knowledge and skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Good PC and Server Hardware knowledge.
  • Experience with Cisco network devices, wireless networks, and type-1 hypervisors would be highly regarded.
  • Good teamwork & communication skills.
  • The ability to work alone on tasks in a proactive manner.
  • Good judgment skills with a strong sense for urgency and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely. 
  • Outstanding customer orientation, i.e., the ability to build rapport and trust quickly and influence an audience through communication to arrive at the best solution.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, i.e., active listening and ability to clearly summarize an issue in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to read and write English ticket reference information on the Incident Platform
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, i.e., ability to apply a highly logical and well-organised approach to analysing and resolving issues
