Infrastructure Monitoring and Network Data Analytics Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Data Analyst to join our Infrastructure Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for pulling and analyzing data from network components such as switches, routers, access points, and links through APIs. They will also play a crucial role in monitoring and alerting for infrastructure performance, ensuring the highest levels of network reliability and efficiency

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data analytics solutions to collect, process, and analyze network data from various components using APIs.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure monitoring systems to proactively detect and resolve issues.
• Create custom alerts and dashboards for real-time network performance tracking.
• Utilize scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Shell to automate tasks and enhance system capabilities.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure seamless network operations and share best practices.
• Drive innovation within the team by researching and implementing new technologies and methodologies.
• Engage in continuous learning and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Develop and maintain data models and reports using PowerBI to support decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or relevant experience
• Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure operations and associated technologies.
• Strong proficiency in network data analytics and API utilization.
• Extensive knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems.
• Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Shell.
• Experience with PowerBI and data modelling techniques.
• Proven track record of being self-driven, innovative, and an effective team player.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with global teams across different time zones

Technical Qualifications:

• Proficiency in using API interfaces for data extraction and analysis from network components, including switches, routers, access points, and links.
• Extensive experience with infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems, capable of setting up, configuring, and managing tools like ScienceLogic, SCOM, Netcool, Moogsoft.
• Expert-level knowledge in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Shell scripting to streamline and automate network operations tasks.
• Demonstrated ability in data visualization and reporting, with a strong command of PowerBI for developing insightful data models and interactive dashboards.
• In-depth understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, SNMP), network architecture, and security best practices to ensure robust and secure network operations.
• Familiarity with cloud services and platforms, and how to leverage them for network data analytics
• Experience with configuration management and network automation tools such as Ansible to maintain consistent network states and facilitate rapid deployment of network configurations.
• Knowledge of database management and SQL for handling and querying large datasets related to network operations and performance metrics.
• Understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence principles as they apply to network data analysis, with the ability to implement predictive analytics for network health and anomaly detection.
