Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infrastructure
Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure that supports
our enterprise systems. This role will be critical in ensuring the
stability, security, scalability, and performance of both on-premise and
cloud environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to
support business objectives through infrastructure excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available
infrastructure solutions (on-prem, cloud, or hybrid). Manage enterprise
infrastructure components including servers, storage, virtualization,
networking, and firewalls.
Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform,
Ansible, or similar.
Oversee patch management, disaster recovery planning, and backup strategies.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure 24/7 uptime for
mission-critical systems.
Ensure infrastructure aligns with security and compliance requirements.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in projects and
operations.
Drive automation and efficiency improvements across the infrastructure.
Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams for deployment and
configuration needs.
Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
or related field. 7-10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure
engineering or systems administration.
Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and virtualization
technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Proficient with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Firewalls) and
storage solutions (SAN/NAS).
Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform,
Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
Solid scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
Strong understanding of security practices in infrastructure design and
operations.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or
similar.

Preferred Skills:
Relevant certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure
Architect, RHCE, etc.).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling. Familiarity with ITIL or
other service management frameworks.
