Infrastructure Architect

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

·         Design automated, containerized cloud applications platform solution, including a cloud-ready distributed application architecture for migrating workloads to containers, containerized development workflows, multi-cloud deployments, edge to cloud data pipelines and data fabrics, and integration of the cloud-native infrastructure stack with the container platform and workloads via automated CI/CD pipelines.

·         Evangelizing microservices-based architectures using containerized applications; help to drive strategy and implementation of the turnkey on-premises cloud native infrastructure, enabling customers in their cloud transformation of large-scale applications

·         Engineering lead for key "aaS" programs, responsible for overall development efforts and executing to program schedules using Agile

·         Help to drive or participate in architectural approaches for key initiatives related to fleet management, security, auto-scaling, self-healing, and infrastructure lifecycle

·         Key architect for HPE Element Container Platforms and Workloads Solutions Team, responsible for interfacing and collaborating with development and engineering teams and driving overall software objectives for the organization

·         Staying abreast of new technologies quickly, including topics such as orchestration, API mesh, container registries, security, container build strategies and microservices (stateful and stateless) on container platforms

·         Team mentoring and support for ramping up new engineers

·         Provide leadership in planning, defining requirements, scoping efforts, and setting appropriate milestones

Requirements

Education

·         BE/B.TECH/MS in Computer Science from leading engineering institutions in India/abroad.

·         15+ years of hands-on experience in architecting complex infrastructure stack solutions, with at least 5 years of cloud-native architectural experience

Skills

·         Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Google, Azure) and cloud-native infrastructure

·         Kubernetes expertise a must (CNCF, HPE Ezmeral, OpenShift, Anthos/GKE, AKS, EKS)

·         Infrastructure as code expertise highly desired (Terraform) and automation (Ansible, Python, Node.js) experience highly desired

·         Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Jenkins) highly desired

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills. Collaborate with cross functional and remote teams for successful project completion.

·         Demonstrated experience in a team leadership or management role

·         Collaborative and team-oriented

·         Demonstrated expertise and passion for working in a global environment

·         Superior analytics skills, proactive approach to solving problems and building workback plans, strategic thinking, and methodical troubleshooting process

·         Attention to detail is task planning, execution and documentation

·         Hands-on experience with infrastructure (preferably HPE products)

·         Linux (SuSE, RHEL, CentOS) a must
