Description

The Information Security Analyst is responsible for responding to security related requests from customers related to physical access, firewall issues, content filter, spam filter and virus protection. In addition, this position will assist in identifying security risks, developing mitigation plans, managing vulnerability analysis and assist with audits both physical site and data systems.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to security related requests for help from customers related to physical access, firewall issues, content filter, spam filter and virus protection.
  • Assist in identifying security risks and assist in developing mitigation plans.
  • Audit firewall rules
  • Analyze logs
  • Assist in managing vulnerability analysis and work with people to correct deficiencies.
  • Manage content filters
  • Troubleshooting and resolving security related technical issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Assist the IT Security Manager with audits for both physical site and data systems.
  • Prioritize, evaluate, resolve and escalate calls as required.
  • Provide appropriate detailed and timely follow-up support with customers.
  • Submit accurate and well-documented solutions consistently for inclusion in the knowledge base
  • Provide updates, status and completion information to the IT Security Manager through voice mail, email or in-person communication.
  • Participate in security related projects.
  • Review and update security policies and procedures.
  • Assist with security compliance audits (i.e. SOX, HITRUST).
  • Evangelizing security within the company and be an advocate for customer trust.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all applicant, client, and company proprietary information.

Qualifications

  • College degree in Computer Science or related field required
  • 4+ years of experience required
  • 1+ year of experience in IT security required
  • Experience in Azure and Defender is required
  • Experience in security processes, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography and application security required
  • Advanced computer troubleshooting, analysis, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to learn multiple programs and systems
  • Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and asking questions where clarification is needed
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be able to demonstrate and promote a positive team -oriented environment
  • Must be available to be on call for after-hours coverage as listed on a rotation schedule
