Description

Responsibilities

  • To provide end to end ETL Design solutions and support Architecture in defining strategies.
  • Lead team of designers and developers.
  • Ensure that any issues raised during testing are addressed prior to migration into production.
  • Manage ongoing maintenance of the system and data.
  • To understand the overall purpose of the projects and contribute to requirements & data analysis and provide solutions from an ETL perspective.
  • Develop informatica mappings, debugging using queries on source and targets.

Required Skills

  • Should have strong skills on ETL design patterns and data architecture, UNIX and Oracle, DB2, Teradata, Netezza, SQL Server.
  • Good knowledge in Informatica, Unix and Teradata.
  • Good understanding on the parameter file concepts and how they can leveraged for good design and solutions.
  • Good Communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowing Datastage will be an added advantage
  • Experience with Informatica Advanced Techniques Dynamic Caching, Memory Management, Parallel Processing to increase Performance throughput.

Required Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in Oracle database Performance tuning and Query Optimization skills
  • At least 2 years of experience in Data modelling and Data mapping skills, Unix Shell scripting
  • Solid experience in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and ETL process using Informatica PowerCenter 9.x, 10.x.
  • Experience on real-time data extraction and reporting with Informatica.
  • Hands on experience on Cognos is an added bonus.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field
