Position Objective
The person in the Lead Business Analyst position champions the development and continuous improvement of enterprise business systems and processes. Lead Business Analyst champions new and innovative approaches to business process improvements under the limited guidance of an Information Technology Manager. Supports IT and business leaders.
Dimensions Collaboratively works with Information Technology Solutions (ITS) staff within and outside the workgroup, software developers, project managers, and functional and technical architects. Supports subject matter experts, business managers, and directors. Assists and manages vendor relationships.
Nature and Scope
Works under minimal guidance from an IT Manager.
This role ensures standard work is defined, monitored, and supported acceptable service level is achieved in compliance with internal policies and procedures and external laws and regulations.
- The job duties include gathering business requirements, testing processes or software changes, creating and leading user acceptance test scripts, and writing training documents/job aids.
- The job description will be used for various responsibilities within the ITS/GES/Solar Digital divisions.
Principal Responsibilities
To apply business process knowledge and expertise with a broad understanding of information technologies to solve business problems and assist customers in achieving business strategies. This position links the business unit operations and the ITS department for enterprise business process improvement.
- Champions development and continuous improvement of enterprise business processes and systems.
- Supports and trains business leaders and subject matter experts.
- Performs and leads business process analyses.
- Leads assignments that design new and innovative approaches to business process improvement solutions under minimal guidance from an IT Manager.
- Performs as a Solution Architect.
- Reviews the work of other enterprise business process specialists and mentors other team members in the group.
- Champions and leads enterprise process changes.
- Provides expert advice to IT and business leaders on enterprise business processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology or Business.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in business processes and systems.
- Expert knowledge of enterprise business processes.
- Expert knowledge of enterprise systems, such as Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Relationship Management, Supply Chain Management, Product Lifecycle Management, or Human Resource Management
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Must have a passion for enabling change
