Job Title: Helix Engineer 

Location: Remote

Duration : 6-12  Months Contract

REQUIRED SKILLS

Platforms
 

• Kubernetes: Hands-on development experience on Kubernetes platform, including work on Helix Apps.
   
• Helm Chart: Proficiency in creating and understanding Helm Charts.
   

Automation Tools
 

• Jenkins: Experience in developing automation using Jenkins, including Groovy scripting.
   
• Ansible: Ability to write and comprehend Ansible automation scripts.
   

Languages
 

• Shell Scripting: Expertise in writing scripts for Linux environments.
   
• Oracle SQL: Capability to work on databases and write both basic and complex SQL queries.
   
• PL/SQL Scripting: Skilled in developing database scripts, jobs, stored procedures, and basic database administration.
   

BMC Helix ITSM
 

• Application Development: Hands-on experience with AR System development and ITSM functions, including CMDB data/structural changes.
   
• Administration/Support: Experience with Helix ITSM version 21.03 or greater for administration and support tasks.
   
• Foundation Data Management: Proficiency in loading and managing foundation data.
   

Migration Skills
 

• Migration Specialist: Experience with BMC Remedy application upgrades and Helix ITSM migration/upgrades for on-premise instances (version 21.3 or greater).
   
• HDM Data Manager: Expertise in migrating data from on-premise to cloud environments using Helix Data Manager.
   

Tools
 

• Splunk: Ability to create and understand Splunk queries.
   
• Kafka: Knowledge of Kafka topics and data flows.
   
• AR System Log Analyzer: Skill in using AR System Log Analyzer for issue identification and root cause analysis.
   
• Helix Dashboards: Capacity to create queries in Helix Dashboards and work with Grafana-based dashboards.
   

OPTIONAL SKILLS
 

• Java: Development of Java code for applications and APIs.
   
• Python: Proficiency in Python coding.
   
• Kubernetes Certification: Certified Kubernetes Administrator preferred but not required.
   
• Performance Testing: Experience developing performance testing scripts using tools like LoadRunner.
