We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Migration QA Engineer with a passion for automation testing, quality assurance, and problem-solving. This role involves working closely with Guidewire Cloud customers, ensuring seamless data migration and maintaining high-quality standards across various insurance applications.

As part of a collaborative and fast-paced global team, you will develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts while continuously improving testing strategies. You will also have the opportunity to engage directly with some of the largest insurance companies worldwide, gaining exposure to complex technical challenges and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teams to test data migration initiatives and ensure accuracy, integrity, and security of migrated data.
  • Develop and execute automated and manual testing strategies to validate migration success.
  • Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for Guidewire applications.
  • Conduct system integration testing, ensuring seamless interaction between migrated data and other systems.
  • Utilize SQL and XML to validate and troubleshoot data migration issues.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, architects, and business analysts to ensure testing aligns with business requirements.
  • Lead review sessions with internal and external stakeholders, providing detailed testing insights.
  • Identify, document, and manage risks related to data migration testing (e.g., heat mapping, risk-based testing).
  • Continuously enhance QA processes, automation frameworks, and test methodologies.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate test automation into deployment workflows.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in Testing within the insurance domain.
  • Guidewire Certification (mandatory).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and XML for data validation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with end-to-end test planning, including building test suites from scratch.
  • Strong knowledge of system integration testing and working across multiple systems.
  • Experience writing and reviewing requirements, with exposure to business analysis.
  • Understanding of risk management concepts, such as heat mapping and risk-based testing.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and related tools (e.g., JIRA, Rally, or TFS).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity).
  • Experience with TestCafe or other JavaScript-based frameworks for UI automation.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API testing and tools like Postman, Swagger.
  • Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
  • Proven ability to work with customers, provide guidance, and deliver testing insights.
