Guidewire Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Guidewire Architect with over 15 years of IT experience, specializing in Guidewire Architecture, Guidewire Billing, and Cloud Implementations. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership, solution architecture, and strategic direction for Guidewire-based transformation initiatives. This role will focus on designing scalable, secure, and cloud-ready solutions to meet complex business and technology requirements within the insurance domain.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

1. Lead the overall solution design and architecture for Guidewire BillingCenter and related modules.
2. Define architectural blueprints, integration strategies, and cloud adoption roadmaps.
3. Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and compliance requirements.

Cloud Implementations

1. Drive Guidewire Cloud migration and SaaS adoption strategies.
2. Work with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and monitoring solutions.
3. Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability in cloud environments.

Implementation Leadership

1. Provide hands-on architectural guidance throughout the full software development lifecycle.
2. Support business analysts, developers, and QA teams to ensure high-quality solution delivery.
3. Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and performance assessments.

Integration & Ecosystem

1. Design and oversee integration of Guidewire Billing with external systems including ERP, CRM, Payment Systems, and Data Warehouses.
2. Ensure seamless communication between Guidewire applications and third-party platforms using APIs, microservices, and middleware.

Governance & Best Practices

1. Establish and enforce Guidewire development standards, reusable frameworks, and architectural patterns.
2. Participate in enterprise-level architecture discussions and contribute to long-term IT strategy.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 15+ years of IT experience with at least 7–10 years in Guidewire products.

Guidewire Expertise:

1. Strong experience in Guidewire BillingCenter architecture, design, and implementation.
2. Hands-on knowledge of Guidewire Cloud deployments and SaaS models.

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in Java, Gosu, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
2. Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools.

Architecture Skills:

1. Proven ability to design large-scale, high-performing enterprise applications.
2. Strong understanding of data migration, integration, and performance tuning.

Soft Skills:

1. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
2. Ability to collaborate with business leaders and translate requirements into technical solutions
