GCP Solution Architect

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design

Architect cloud-native, hybrid, or multi-cloud applications.

Design end-to-end application architectures leveraging GCP services like Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Run, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Firebase.

Service Integration

Choose and integrate appropriate GCP services (e.g., Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Firestore).

Ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, and Deployment Manager.

Security and Compliance

Design for identity and access management (IAM), VPC Service Controls, encryption (KMS), and compliance (HIPAA, GDPR).

Performance and Cost Optimization

Use Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and Profiler to monitor and optimize performance.

Leverage autoscaling, preemptible VMs, and cost management tools.

Collaboration

Work closely with developers, DevOps, data engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business goals

 Essential Skills

Cloud Architecture: Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and GCP core services.

Programming: Proficiency in one or more languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go).

Containerization: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

CI/CD & DevOps: Familiarity with Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitOps.

Database Knowledge: Experience with SQL (Cloud SQL, BigQuery) and NoSQL (Firestore, Datastore).

Security: Deep understanding of IAM, VPCs, firewall rules, KMS
