GCP Data Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Data Architect to design, implement, and optimize data solutions on GCP. You will work

closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end data architectures on GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, etc.)
• Develop data models, data pipelines, and ETL/ELT processes
• Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with best practices and regulations
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
• Optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval for performance and cost
• Evaluate and recommend GCP services and tools for various data workloads
• Document architecture, data flows, and technical decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• [X+] years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or similar roles
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP data services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, etc.)
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or Java
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT pipelines
• Knowledge of data security, IAM, and compliance on GCP
• GCP Professional Data Engineer or Architect certification is a plus
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
