Functional Test Lead

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the business teams to understand requirements and specifications to test the function.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, team members and partners.
• Responsible for the test planning, test execution, test coordination and defect management.
• Lead technical and business testers on the project while also completing testing themselves.
• Responsible for the quality of the testing and defects on the project as well as producing high quality, executive level, test metrics.
• Responsible for assuring that IT Deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, reliability and stability.
• Work as a liaison to the project and technology team to communicate testing needs and requirements.

Required Skills

• Provide expertise as a Functional IT QA Lead for a Revenue Cycle System Replacement Project.
• Additional CRM Application (like Sales force) knowledge.
• able to quickly and consistently establish rapport.
• Basic understanding of Software Development process related to Data migrations as well as basic understanding of SQL scripting language.
• Understanding of ETL process and transformation logic.
• Understanding of Data Warehouse concepts.
• Must be able to perform all testing activities of a lead and a tester.

Required Experience

• 6-7+ years of experience in Functional and Integration Testing.
• Hands on experience on HP ALM Tool.
• Experience in producing/executing the test cases and performing bug tracking and log defects.
• Experience writing test strategies and test plans on large complex corporate initiatives.
• Experience writing test cases with and without documented requirements provided.
• Experience producing daily, weekly, monthly test metrics on large corporate initiatives.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
