About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and mission-driven Forta Administrator to lead the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of detection bots on the Forta network. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our blockchain monitoring infrastructure, while collaborating closely with security researchers and core contributors to operationalize cutting-edge threat detections.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and manage detection bots across the Forta network, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Operate and maintain Forta node infrastructure, including scan nodes, alert relays, and API integrations.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure uptime, performance, and reliability of deployed bots.
  • Manage bot lifecycle operations, including configuration, version control, updates, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Track and optimize operational metrics, such as gas costs, chain coverage, and execution statistics.
  • Support onboarding of new detection bots, working closely with Forta core contributors and internal teams.
  • Integrate alerting systems with internal platforms such as Slack, PagerDuty, and Splunk.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for bot operations, infrastructure management, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers to translate new threat detections into production-ready bots.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or blockchain infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of Forta architecture, scan nodes, and agent deployment.
  • Proficiency with Linux, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Node.js.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Solid understanding of Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to operational detail.
  • DoD 8140 compliance and CompTIA Security+ (or higher).
  • Active Secret Clearance (required).
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience contributing to open-source blockchain security tools.
  • Familiarity with smart contract security and threat detection patterns.
  • Background in cybersecurity operations or threat intelligence.
  • Experience working in highly regulated or mission-critical environments

Education

Any Graduate
