We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller with experience in both US GAAP and Indian accounting standards. The ideal candidate will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the US and India, and manage reporting for multi-country operations. This is a critical leadership role, responsible for developing robust financial processes, providing strategic insights, and ensuring the company's financial health and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and Indian GAAP/Ind-AS.
Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws, regulations, and filings in the US and India.
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, consolidating reports for international entities.
Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures across jurisdictions.
Manage the financial audit process and liaise with external auditors in both regions.
Analyze financial data and provide strategic insights to senior management.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions for operations in the US and India.
Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and budgets, providing regular forecasts.
Ensure compliance with local regulatory filings such as GST, TDS, Income Tax, and US Sales Tax.
Lead ERP and finance system improvements and ensure accurate financial data management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth and financial strategy.
Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and standards in the US and India.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, CA, or equivalent certification required.
7+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, with experience in both US and Indian accounting standards.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, Indian GAAP, Ind-AS, and IFRS.
Experience managing multi-entity financial reporting, preferably for international operations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with transfer pricing and international taxation.
Prior experience in the technology, manufacturing, or service sectors.
Experience working with cross-border teams.
