We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Engineer to support field testing activities in the European rail domain. The role involves conducting comprehensive testing on both onboard and wayside systems to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance with industry
standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform field tests on trains, focusing on onboard and wayside subsystems.
• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and cases based on system requirements and specifications.
• Document and report test results, non-conformities, and resolutions to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot, identify, and resolve issues during field testing.
• Ensure compliance with European rail safety standards (e.g., CENELEC, TSI).
• Collect, analyze, and document test data to validate system performance and functionality.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation of onboard and wayside systems.
• Provide detailed test reports and recommendations for system improvements.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure adherence to field testing guidelines.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or related fields) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in rail system testing, particularly onboard and wayside systems.
• Strong knowledge of European rail standards and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with signaling systems, communication protocols, and railway operations.
• Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, sensors, and test equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively for field testing across various locations.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with CBTC, ETCS, GSM-R, or other railway-specific technologies.
• Knowledge of rail system integration and validation processes.
• Proficiency in data analysis and simulation tools.
Language:
French language mandatory.
