Description

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Field Support Engineer to join our team supporting marine and shipbuilding projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating communication between customers, OEMs, and shipbuilders, as well as supporting system testing and installations throughout the project lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and conduct customer meetings, including telephone and remote correspondence, to address technical queries and project updates.

Support Virtual Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with OEMs to ensure system functionality before shipment.

Provide installation assistance to shipbuilders, particularly in the event of technical issues before OEM arrival.

Collaborate with the OEM Field Service Engineer (FSE) during Set to Work (STW) activities.

Conduct Pre-Site Acceptance Testing (pre-SAT) to validate readiness and system integrity before final testing.

Lead or support Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) at the shipyard – often conducted independently without OEM presence (requires prior permission/documentation).


Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Marine Engineering, etc.).

3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in marine systems, automation, or field engineering roles.

Strong understanding of FAT, SAT, STW processes and marine equipment commissioning.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real-time.

Excellent communication skills to interface effectively with customers, shipbuilders, and OEMs.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in field conditions.

Willingness to travel as needed for on-site support
