Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform survey layout, elevations, and dimensional checks for formwork, embeds, anchor bolts, and rebar placement.
  • Review shop drawings, rebar details, and post-tensioning layouts to ensure conformance with design.
  • Track pour cycles, coordinate logistics for ready-mix deliveries, and verify compliance with mix designs and curing protocols.
  • Monitor field testing (slump, air, temperature, cylinders) and confirm corrective actions for non-conforming results.
  • Maintain detailed concrete pour logs including placement sequence, finish type, weather impacts, and testing results.
  • Draft RFIs and coordinate with design teams to resolve field issues like rebar congestion, embed conflicts, or formwork tolerances.
  • Assist in planning mass pours, including sequencing of trucks, pump placement, finishing crews, and curing strategies.
  • Support QA/QC through daily inspections of reinforcement, formwork, and post-tension stressing documentation.
  • Update as-built drawings to reflect rebar, PT tendon, sleeve, and embed changes.
  • Collaborate with testing labs, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure quality and schedule alignment.

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of field engineering experience with emphasis on concrete, foundations, and structural systems.
  • Proficiency in survey instruments (total station, GPS, laser levels) for layout and verification.
  • Strong knowledge of ACI, ASTM, and PCA standards governing structural concrete work.
  • Experience supporting mass pours, mat foundations, and elevated post-tensioned decks.
  • Ability to interpret structural drawings, rebar shop drawings, and post-tensioning installation details.
  • Familiarity with curing methods (water, blankets, compounds, steam), finishing techniques, and tolerance requirements.
  • Proficient in construction management software (Procore, BIM tools, scheduling systems)
