ETL Test Lead

Responsibilities

• Analyze, prepare test case for data integration, ingestion, complex transformation process, prepare test data / analyze test data for ETL testing.
• Design the test strategy to validate the data sourcing, staging and additional logic per design document.
• Organize and able to Multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Understand the ETL mapping and test successful completion of the job or job flow by comparing the reference data set with the result data set.

Required Skills

• Awareness of Agile QA Software development life cycle –backlog, sprints, standups, burndowns.
• Well-developed analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Working Knowledge of Defect management process, Risk Framework and mitigation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent leadership skills with ability lead and guide and groom the team.
• Excellent team player, able to work with virtual teams.
• Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic start-up environment.
• Able to talk to client directly and report to client/onsite.

Required Experience

• 5–10 years of experience with Software Quality Assurance- QA project life cycle, test plan, test strategies, test scenarios, test cases, traceability matrix.
• 3-5+ years of experience in Database/Data Warehouse/ETL Testing.
• 3-5+ years of Strong experience in advanced SQL scripting.
• Experience in MS SQL server, SSIS and SSRS.
• 3+ years experience of Data Lake/Hadoop platform implementation.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in implementation and performance tuning Hadoop/Spark implementations.
• Good experience in analyzing and comparing various forms data sets on flat files, database tables, big data storage etc.
• Experience in writing SQL in database, big data platform like Hadoop etc. to perform data comparison.
• Experience in understanding ETL mappings in Informatica or Talend.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
