Description

1 Data Integration and ETL Concepts: A strong understanding of data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts, should be able to design workflows for extracting data from various sources, transforming it as needed, and loading it into SQL Server-based data warehouses.

2. (Must Have) IBM DataStage Expertise: A deep understanding of IBM DataStage is crucial. This includes knowledge of the DataStage Designer, Director, and Administrator components. Developers should be skilled in creating and managing DataStage jobs, stages, and sequences.

3. (Must Have) SQL Server Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server is essential. DataStage developers should be able to work with SQL Server databases, write SQL queries, and understand the database schema for effective data extraction and loading.

4. Data Modeling: Understanding data modeling concepts, such as star schema and snowflake schema, is important for designing data warehouses that are optimized for reporting and analytics.

5. Performance Optimization: DataStage developers should be able to optimize ETL processes for performance. This includes tuning SQL queries, designing efficient transformations, and managing job execution to minimize processing time.
