ETL Developer

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ETL development, standards and best practices.
• Responsible for collecting, parsing, managing and analyzing large sets of data.
• Gather requirements and business process knowledge in order to transform the data in a way that’s geared towards the needs of end users.
• Maintain and improve already existing processes (good to have).
• Ensure that the data architecture is scalable and maintainable eWork with the business in designing and delivering correct, high quality data.
• Investigate data to identify potential issues within ETL pipelines, notify end-users and propose adequate solutions.

Required Skills

• Knowledge on writing pivot, analytical SQL and hierarchical queries for reporting purposes.
• Strong scripting skills with Unix Shell, SQL and Python .
• Senior knowledge of Python.
• Knowledge in ITIL.
• In-depth knowledge of HBASE.
• Good knowledge of MapReduce (EMR).
• Mastery of HDFS.
• Proficient in Mongo.
• Ability to understand Git.
• Should have skills in Java.

Required Experience

• 3+ years as an ETL Developer.
• 4 to 8 experience in Java 8 and up.
• Minimum 2+years experience Elasticsearch.
• Previous experience in the healthcare/ insurance industry.
• Experience in change reviews & preparedness and problem management.
• Experience in executing successful Disaster Recovery Exercises.
• Should have experience Relational database experience – SQL and design (MySQL).
• AWS (S3, RDS, Cloud Watch, EC2, etc).

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
