Enterprise Data Governance Consultant

• 8+ years of experience working in Data Governance or Data Management within a global CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) company; Strong data management background who understands data, how to ingest data, proper data use / consumption, data quality, and stewardship
• 8+ years of experience working with data in the Vendor/Supplier domain, associated processes, involved systems and data usage.
• 5+ years functional experience working with and designing standards for data cataloging and data quality processes and tools.
• Ability to partner with both business and technical subject matter experts to ensure standardization of operational information and execution of enterprise-wide data governance policies and procedures are defined and implemented.

5+ years of experience managing a team of data professionals.

Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable)

✅ 8+ years in Data Governance – Must have worked in CPG/F&B (supplier/vendor data is critical).
✅ Vendor/Supplier Domain Knowledge – Understands procurement, supplier onboarding, and related data flows.
✅ Data Catalog & Quality Tools – Hands-on with tools like Collibra, Informatica Axon, Alation, or similar.
✅ Leadership Experience – Managed a team of data professionals (stewards, analysts).
✅ Business-Technical Bridge – Can explain governance to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Bonus)

🔹 SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) or Ariba experience (common in CPG).
🔹 Regulatory Knowledge (e.g., GDPR, FDA compliance for F&B).
🔹 Data Mesh/Fabric exposure (modern data architectures).
