Enterprise Architecture Director

Job Description

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred.

Related Work Experience:

• Ten (10) or more years of development or information technology experience.
• Eight (8) or more years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations in a multitier environment.
• Three (3) or more years of experience as an architect across various industries, with expertise in cloud, enterprise, and solution architectures
• Hands-on experience with leading cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), AI, machine learning, and digital platforms
• Expertise in Agile, DevOps, and modern architectural methodologies, with the ability to drive innovation and agility across organizations
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and experience embedding security within enterprise architecture
• Proven ability to lead architectural governance and change management initiatives
• Facilitate alignment between business and IT, and across the democratized IT landscape
• Engage business and IT stakeholders, building and maintaining relationships
• Adapt to changing business and operating models
• Analyze trends and disruptions, and assess their impact on targeted business outcomes
• Tell stories to visualize the future state and trigger long-term planning
• Support various operating models such as project-centric and product-centric
• Communicate the value of enterprise architecture, and its portfolio of services
• Coach and mentor other architects, product owners/managers and business stakeholders to instill architectural thinking

• Understand business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management
• Familiarity with estimating the financial impact of EA alternatives
• Composed in the face of opposition to architectural principles, governance and standards
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Preferred, Azure cloud administration, architecture, and development experience
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that enhance business performance
• Experience with enterprise architecture tools, related graphical models, and frameworks e.g. TOGAF or Zachman
• Software development skills and experience with the Microsoft .NET stack
• Microsoft SQL Server skills and experience
• Object oriented architecture skills and experience
• Data architecture skills and experience
• Enterprise integrations architecture skills and experience
• Crystal Reports or other similar reporting software experience and skills
• Personify AMS 7.4 or above skills and experience a plus
• Optimizely Episerver or other web content management experience a plus

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum) are highly preferred.
• Knowledgeable in Agile, Waterfall, ITIL and other structured methodologies
• Strong analytical planning and prioritization skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Any security or development certifications are a plus
