The worker will perform highly advanced traffic systems analysis and development in support of the TxDOT Traffic Technology program. Work involves leading activities associated with traffic control technology systems, planning, designing, and integrating integrated traffic control systems; designing, installing, and monitoring traffic technology systems; monitoring and analyzing existing hardware and software in the support of traffic systems; developing policies and procedures; preparing budget recommendations; and evaluating potential traffic system enhancements. Reports to the Infrastructure Traffic Supervisor. Leads projects and works closely with a diverse group of professional and technical employees.
MINIMUM YRS OF EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS
· 8 Years +: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably with major coursework in engineering, information
systems, computer science, data processing, or a related field
· 8 Years + :Project development for engineering projects/systems and/or information technology applications/systems
