- Perform mechanical and or electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of all manufacturing and facilities equipment
- Supervise the upgrades/modifications to all equipment to maintain an “As New Status” (Includes function and appearance).
- Identify key areas for improvement and execute the corrective action
- Manage and execute small scale equipment & facility projects
- Perform and execute Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
- Execute equipment startup, equipment supports and calibration.
- Supervise contractors (plumbers, electricians, etc.) and coordinate mechanical assemblies
- Communicate in timely manor relevant information pertaining specific programs and engineering disciplines.
- Lead FMEAs for equipment upgrades, changes or obsolescence.
- Utilize Root Cause Analysis in problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Train/Mentor Maintenance technicians in troubleshooting and problem solving
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Knowledgeable of engineering principles and common commercial components and the ability to apply them.
- PLC knowledge and experience
- Lean experience a plus
- Working knowledge of engineering standards and safety codesAutoCAD
- Working knowledge of facility related infrastructure, boilers, compressors, etc.
- Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and processes
- Working knowledge of MS applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
- Understanding of use and application, working knowledge a plus.
- Three to five years of applicable experience in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering disciplines. Or entry level with a Bachelors degree in mechanical, chemical engineering or equivalent experience is required
