Description

  • Perform mechanical and or electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of all manufacturing and facilities equipment
  • Supervise the upgrades/modifications to all equipment to maintain an “As New Status” (Includes function and appearance).
  • Identify key areas for improvement and execute the corrective action
  • Manage and execute small scale equipment & facility projects
  • Perform and execute Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
  • Execute equipment startup, equipment supports and calibration.
  • Supervise contractors (plumbers, electricians, etc.) and coordinate mechanical assemblies
  • Communicate in timely manor relevant information pertaining specific programs and engineering disciplines.
  • Lead FMEAs for equipment upgrades, changes or obsolescence.
  • Utilize Root Cause Analysis in problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • Train/Mentor Maintenance technicians in troubleshooting and problem solving


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Knowledgeable of engineering principles and common commercial components and the ability to apply them.
  • PLC knowledge and experience
  • Lean experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of engineering standards and safety codesAutoCAD 
  • Working knowledge of facility related infrastructure, boilers, compressors, etc.
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and processes
  • Working knowledge of MS applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Understanding of use and application, working knowledge a plus.
  • Three to five years of applicable experience in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering disciplines. Or entry level with a Bachelors degree in mechanical, chemical engineering or equivalent experience is required
