Job Summary
The Electrical Engineering Supervisor leads a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technical support staff, while also providing direct electrical engineering support on complex engineering projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Technical responsibility for scoping, specifying, developing, planning, justifying, coordinating, scheduling and executing a variety of projects that are complex in nature and require the application of engineering and project management skills
- Lead projects while managing forecasting, cost control, timely completion, as-built documentation process, and adherence to all regulatory requirements
- Plan and prioritize work activity schedules, resource allocation, and costing of labor to capital projects, etc.
- Train and mentor new engineers and technical staff
Electrical Engineer responsibilities for:
- Station power distribution – 2400V and below
- Back-up 2400V generators
- Electrical power and communications (4-20mV and foundation field buss) to buildings/processes/equipment/valves/actuators/transmitters
- DCS/SCADA support
- LOTO (lock-out-tag-out) support
- Maintain AutoCAD electrical and pneumatic prints and OEM technical documentation for equipment and devices
- Perform other department work as needed including, creation of Lock Out – Tag Out procedures for planned work, contractor oversight, assisting Operations & Maintenance with troubleshooting and addressing operational performance issues, and auditing of work for accuracy, quality, completeness, compliance and record retention
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years' standard computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- 5+ years’ relevant electrical engineering experience
- Must meet company standards for driving and maintain a valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years’ prior supervisory experience
- 2+ years’ project management experience
- Professional Engineering license
- Prior Electrical Engineer experience in an industrial/chemical/petroleum/power generation facility.
- Prior experience working in a regulated industry.
- Prior experience adhering to regulatory codes, standards and specifications: Title 49 CFR 192/193, PSC 135,API, ASTM, MSS, etc.)
- Prior experience with: AutoCAD, SAP, GIS, Eclipse, Cority, DCS, SCADA
