Description

·    Communicate with application teams and stake holders to determine overall intent of EDI.
·    Provide recommendations on software/hardware based on current and expected system loads.
·    Determine communication protocols (internally and externally) to be utilized.
·    Determine which EDI documents should be initially implemented.
·    Assist the EDI Team with administration of EDI IDoc’s and EDI responsibilities.
·    Assist EDI Team with Disaster Recovery Plan once mapping and or commitment issues do not go as expected.

SAP-EDI After design and implementation, the system would be handed off to the EDI Developer/Analyst. They would be responsible for day-to-day support and implementations. Some of the tasks they would typically handle are:
Monitoring of the system (typically 24 hours a day)
Maintenance of the system. Example: Ensuring backup are occurring and verifying system is current on all patches.
Adding new processes, maps, and trading partners to system.
Working in partnership with the business to create additional EDI transactions.
Perform Gap Analysis between EDI specification and application.
Setting up communication channels and performing map testing.
