We are seeking a highly skilled Dynatrace Admin SME to support enterprise observability and application performance monitoring (APM) initiatives across multiple clients in the supply chain domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in configuring, administering, and scaling Dynatrace environments. This is a technical administration role, not a performance testing role, and we are specifically looking for professionals with a recent focus on observability and APM—not those whose recent experience has been primarily in performance testing.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing system performance, integrating monitoring across complex technology stacks, and providing actionable insights to various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and manage the full Dynatrace stack including OneAgent, ActiveGate, and Dynatrace SaaS/Managed environments.
Define and implement tagging, naming conventions, alerting rules, and anomaly detection configurations.
Design and maintain custom dashboards, service-level objectives (SLOs), and synthetic monitoring.
Integrate Dynatrace with third-party systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Splunk, Jira, cloud providers, CI/CD tools).
Enable observability across cloud-native and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, SREs, cloud architects) to provide observability best practices and troubleshoot application issues.
Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and automation scripts for Dynatrace deployment and configuration (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, API-based automation).
Train internal teams on Dynatrace capabilities, usage, and self-service models.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace administration and configuration.
Strong understanding of observability concepts (APM, infrastructure monitoring, log analytics, synthetic testing).
Experience with Dynatrace integrations with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, and containerized applications.
Proficiency in using Dynatrace APIs for automation and advanced configuration.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows, and automation tooling.
Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and customization.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience supporting enterprise-grade distributed systems in supply chain or manufacturing domains is a plus.
Nice to Have:
Dynatrace Certified Associate/Professional
Experience with other observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics, New Relic)
Exposure to ITSM and CMDB systems like ServiceNow
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
