Director of Solutions Architecture- SAP

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Solutions Architecture – SAP S/4HANA to lead the architectural vision and execution for SAP-centric solutions across our client portfolio. This role will focus on delivering scalable, integrated ERP solutions, with a particular emphasis on S/4HANA RISE Private Cloud Edition (PCE) and SAP GROW Public Cloud solutions, as well as new-generation SAP Cloud Product Suites, including BPT and SAP Analytics Cloud.

As a senior technology leader, you will shape enterprise architecture standards, guide complex transformation programs for RTS clients, and provide hands-on functional and technical leadership across cross-functional teams. While hands-on experience with SAP Signavio (for process mining, modeling, and optimization) is a strong plus, the primary focus of this role is driving the success of large-scale S/4HANA implementations and transformations.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture Leadership:

Define and lead solution architectures for SAP S/4HANA RISE PCE and SAP S/4HANA GROW Public Cloud, ensuring robust integration, scalability, and alignment with business outcomes.

S/4HANA Transformation Expertise:

Lead the design and delivery of full-cycle S/4HANA transformation programs, managing complex landscapes and leveraging deep knowledge of both legacy on-premises ECC, SCM, APO, CRM, and HCM solutions as well as next-generation SAP Cloud Products that replace the legacy SAP solutions.

Supplementary SAP Signavio Expertise:

While not mandatory, project experience with SAP Signavio, particularly in process discovery, modeling, and optimization, is considered a valuable skill that can enhance solution design and process-led architecture.

Solution Strategy & Design:

Architect high-performing solutions that incorporate real-time data processing, analytics, and modular enterprise workflows using SAP S/4HANA RISE PCE, SAP S/4HANA GROW, BTP, SAC, and other SAP Cloud Product Suites.

Client Engagement & Advisory:

Partner with client stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions, guide project roadmaps, and establish architectural standards. Exhibit excellent meeting facilitation skills and the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels, from technical teams to executives.

Team Development & Leadership:

Lead cross-functional teams, including Functional, Technical, Basis, Security, and Infrastructure experts. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a high-performance, best-practice-driven culture.

Innovation, Governance & Critical Thinking:

Establish architectural governance frameworks, promote reusable design patterns, and ensure compliance with security and industry standards. Apply critical thinking and business acumen to align architecture with long-term enterprise goals.

Cross-Platform Architecture:

Design and lead integrations with non-SAP systems, including Salesforce, data lakes, and other enterprise applications.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

12+ years of experience in SAP architecture roles, including 5+ years in a leadership capacity.

Proven experience leading at least two full-cycle S/4HANA transformation projects with RISE Private Cloud Edition (PCE).

Deep knowledge of SAP GROW Public Cloud architecture, methodology, and implementation.

Progressive, hands-on experience in SAP Functional modules, preferably Sales, Finance, or Supply Chain.

Strong understanding of ECC, SCM, APO, CRM, and HCM on-premises solutions and next-generation S/4HANA cloud product suites.

Strong experience with SAP HANA architecture and deployment, including S/4HANA landscapes.

Hands-on SAP Signavio experience is a strong plus but not required.

Strong understanding of SAP BTP, cloud strategy, and enterprise-wide solution integration.

Expertise in designing scalable, secure, and compliant architectures with a process-led transformation mindset.

Excellent meeting facilitation skills, ability to engage across all organizational levels, strong business acumen, and critical thinking abilities.

Excellent communication skills with experience engaging executive-level stakeholders.

Proficiency in architecture methodologies (e.g., TOGAF) and SAP architecture tools.

Knowledge of AI/ML integration and analytics within the SAP ecosystem.

Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and SAP Business Data Cloud platform

Familiarity with automated testing suites such as UIPath or Tricentis

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP certifications in S/4HANA Functional Modules, S/4HANA Solution Architecture, or Signavio are a plus but not required.

TOGAF certification is a plus, but not required.
