DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:

United Airlines is seeking a DevOps Engineer with expertise in Harness, AWS, and GitHub Actions to join the Platform Engineering and DevOps team. This role involves managing CI/CD pipelines, AWS infrastructure, and cloud-based compute environments while contributing to continuous improvement and security remediation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Harness.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Support AWS services (EKS, ECS, Lambda) and Kong API Gateway/Service Mesh.
• Collaborate across teams to optimize deployments and automate workflows.
• Ensure security compliance and operational efficiency.
• Document and maintain technical guidelines and best practices.
• Work with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, and Jira to track tasks and user stories.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in technical architecture, software development, or IT operations.
Hands-on expertise with Harness, AWS (EKS, ECS, Lambda), Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in writing and maintaining pipeline templates and infrastructure code.
Strong knowledge of GitHub Actions for automation and deployment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Experience:

• Airlines industry experience (Crew/InFlight applications preferred).
• Experience with Dynatrace for monitoring and observability.
• Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, and Azure DevOps.
