DevOps Engineer

Job Description:
• Troubleshoot and rectify CI/ CD pipeline issues
• Schedule automated builds/ deployments and execute ad-hoc builds/ deployments requested by AD team
• Hands-on experience of Bitbucket/ GitHub, GIT commands, branching and merging strategies
• Knowledge of UNIX/ LINUX principles and hands-on experience in essential tools and command-line for day to day operations and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience of bash/ shell/ python/ perl/ groovy scripting and automation using them to optimize tasks and monitoring
• Hands-on experience of webapps (Apache Tomcat, WebLogic etc.) and their troubleshooting
• Recognizes and able to troubleshoot application/ server startup and runtime issues
• Working knowledge of schedulers (Autosys, Control-M etc.).
• SSL/TLS certificate life-cycle management
• Able to quickly understand internal cloud computing products and CI/CD solutions and based on criteria and recommendations, help migrating to internal cloud solutions including Docker/ Kubernetes/ AWS
• Basic DB connection and query execution knowledge
• Knowledge of Monitoring tools (Geneos, Tivoli etc.)
• Knowledge of process management/ monitoring, file system management/ monitoring and storage management/ monitoring
Other Skills:
• Create high quality and up-to-date documentations of system/ application/ tools/ project analysis/ execution/ risks/ statuses
• Be able to work in a rapid paced environment and must be able to work independently
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and quickly learn new skills and techniques
• Rotational support for production deployments which are scheduled in off-business hours on weekdays or weekends, the same need to be supported via presence in office
• Weekly rotational monitoring of environments in morning hours
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
Educational Qualification:
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field
Not desired:
• Experience on only Microsoft platforms
• Only operational knowledge of CI/ CD
• Primarily working as Unix SA and performing Devops role as secondary.
