DB Encryption Engineer

Job Description:

• Evaluating data sensitivity and selecting appropriate encryption algorithms and key management strategies based on business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Designing encryption solutions for various database platforms (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, NoSQL) including key rotation and lifecycle management.
• Implementing encryption techniques within databases, including field-level encryption, transparent data encryption (TDE), and application-level encryption.
• Integrating encryption with existing data pipelines and applications to ensure seamless data flow while maintaining security.
• Managing encryption keys securely using dedicated key management systems (KMS).
• Implementing key access controls and audit trails to monitor key usage and prevent unauthorized access.
• Actively monitoring encryption systems for potential vulnerabilities and anomalies.
• Performing regular security audits to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Working closely with database administrators, application developers, and security teams to integrate encryption seamlessly into new and existing systems.
• Providing technical guidance on data encryption best practices and troubleshooting issues related to encryption implementation.
