Datastage Technical Lead

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical teams in the implementation of projects using ibm infosphere datastage suite, sql, oracle pl/sql, and unix shell scripting.
• Design, develop, and optimize etl processes to extract, transform, and load data efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Perform code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and ensure best practices are followed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data processing and integration.
• Monitor system performance and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to recommend innovative solutions for continuous improvement.

Skill Requirements:

• Proficiency in ibm infosphere datastage suite for etl development.
• Strong expertise in sql for data manipulation and querying.
• In-depth knowledge of oracle pl/sql for database development and management.
• Proficient in unix shell scripting for automation and scheduling tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead technical discussions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of etl processes.
• Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and methodologies.
• Knowledge of using azure devops for build and deploy
• Familiarity with creating physical data model based on the data model logic
