Database Engineering

Job Description:

– Design and implement database solutions to meet business requirements and ensure optimal performance.
– Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and views to support application functionality.
– Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, optimization, and security checks.
– Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
– Collaborate with development teams to integrate databases with applications and ensure data consistency.
– Optimize queries and database structures to improve efficiency and response times.
– Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to database management.
– Document database designs, processes, and procedures for future reference and training.
– Provide support and guidance to team members regarding database-related issues.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) or Database Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in SQL scripting and query optimization.
• Expertise with Oracle Data Pump (expdp/impdp) for data export and import operations.
• Experience with AWS cloud services (RDS, EC2, S3, etc.) and cloud database architecture.
• Strong understanding of database backup/recovery strategies, data security, and disaster recovery.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools for database health and performance.
