8–15 years of experience; GCP Database Engineer Certification (desirable)
Proficiency in PostgreSQL & PL/SQL (complex queries, stored procedures)
Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migrations (AlloyDB/Cloud SQL)
Cloud & extended technologies (Cloud SQL/AlloyDB, BigQuery, Firestore, MemoryStore, Spanner, bare metal PostgreSQL, GCP Data Migration Service, MongoDB, Cloud Dataflow)
Expertise in tuning autovacuum, optimizing AlloyDB/PostgreSQL performance
Skills in disaster recovery, job scheduling, logging, OLTP, and OLAP
Project Management & Leadership
Performance management (profiling, benchmarking, testing, fixing), informed tech choices (build vs. buy)
Enterprise architecture, project management/delivery, quality mindset, scope management
Planning (phasing, critical path, risk identification), schedule management, estimations, leadership

Roles & Responsibilities
Your mission is to develop, optimize, and secure robust database environments that fuel success for our clients while delivering cutting-edge cloud and data solutions.
Data Architecture & Hybrid Solutions
Develop, construct, test, and maintain data architectures.
Create hybrid data stores by integrating data warehouses with NoSQL GCP solutions alongside PostgreSQL.
Migration & Performance Tuning
Auto vacuum in PostgreSQL, optimize Alloy DB/PostgreSQL performance and perform stored procedure/query tuning.
Convert Oracle stored procedures and queries to PostgreSQL equivalents.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead the database team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and direction
